A snapshot of our partnership with Linpac
|
|
| Increasing service levels by providing flexible delivery processes |
Formed in 1959 as a paper packaging

primarily to service the local areas fresh
food producers.Linpac was (and still is) a
privately owned business driven by innovation
and entrepreneurship. This in turn allowed it
to re-invest its growing profits into developing
the company. It then grew. Now it has a
£1.1 billion global business employing over
9,000 people at a number of divisions that
each operate as a separate business centre,
focussed on specific technologies, products

‘Linpac chose 3T as the Logistics partner
because of the need for far reaching and
fundamental changes to the business. Linpac
required expert help from an organisation with
the experience and proven track record of
radical change management of a company’s
logistics strategy. Since appointing 3T there
have been dramatic cost savings, a total
reengineering of the distribution network and a
completely new transportation structure that
removed the core fleet and created a network
of cost effective carriers. The 3T Global Carrier
Management system has been fundamental to
the success of the strategy by capturing data
and providing really useful, detailed information.
It manages the whole process and provides
visibility of the Supply Chain, so potential
problems are quickly identified and dealt with
early before they develop into major issues.’
